We would like to thank all those who particpated in the "Lil Rick" (Ricky Howard) Family Fundraiser. We look forward to Sullivan Guitars being able to participate in other fundraisers and humanitarian efforts in the future.

“Lil Rick” ( Ricky Howard ) was a 51 year old man that resided with his wife and 2 sons in Hartford, KY. In August of 2008 Rick was setting up to play a gig and suddenly had a terrible seizure. He was later diagnosed with cancer that has spread throughout and ravaged his body. Ricky Howard passed away December 10th 2008.

On the 13th of December a benefit for Rick’s family is being held at the community center in Hartford KY.

“Lil Rick” is known by his family and friends as a great guitar player who’s played all over the country bringing great joy and amazement to those who listened. He is also known as a very loving and soft spoken guy who has always brought a profound sense of peace and spirituality to his relationships with others. He always has a smile on his face and is the first person to tell you he loves you. He’s been blessed with a great talent for playing the guitar and has always taken the time to share his talent with others, mentoring many young players along the way.

We build handmade guitars, 14 fret, steel string acoustic guitars and electric acoustic guitars and provide expert repair work including customizing, refinishing, re-fretting, and restorations on all types of acoustic guitars and acoustic electric guitars. We also work on mandolins, banjos, and just about anything with strings.
