Rising Stars from Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (CAAS)

This year at CASS we had the privilege of having some young rising stars stop by and play some of our Sullivan Guitars. These young talents are likely going to be seen and heard more in the future. We wanted to share with you a little of what we were able to experience and help to promote them to help them in some small measure as way of saying thanks for sharing your talents with us.

Daniel Bazzani - Italy

Shaun Hopper

Shaun Hopper already has a CD out called "Shaun Hopper Once Written". We put Shaun's picture on the home page with a link to a youtube video that we made of him playing a Sullivan Guitars Handmade Guitar and giving us some feed back on the guitar. Keith Beard

A little about me - I was born in New Orleans, LA and lived there until I was eleven. I spent my high school years in Birmingham, AL where I'm currently residing. I teach English at a local high school, and I'll be getting married this upcoming fall.

My favorite style of guitar to play is fingerstyle; I'm heavily influenced by Tommy Emmanuel and Chet Atkins. Pete Huttlinger is a new favorite of mine. Other influences are Django Reinhardt and Jerry Reed. I also like to play other styles from jazz to blues to rock. I've recently played in Mart Avant's big band in Birmingham, and I'm the lead/rhythm guitar player at my church. I'm aspiring to become a professional guitar player. Right now, I'm just trying to get experience by playing anywhere and anytime. I'll be recording a demo CD soon, so hopefully that will help get my name out there.
